# How to Request a Trial Extension for Getint

If your trial is ending and you need extra time to fully evaluate Getint's capabilities, you can request a trial extension. The process depends on how you’re using Getint (Cloud vs. Server/Data Center) and where your instance is hosted.

### Extending Your Free Trial <a href="#extending-your-free-trial" id="extending-your-free-trial"></a>

#### **For Jira Cloud Users** <a href="#for-jira-cloud-users" id="for-jira-cloud-users"></a>

1. **Contact Getint Support:**

Start by reaching out to our support team through the in‑app chat or at our [Help Center](https://getint.io/help-center).

* Please include your **company name**, **contact email**, the **reason for the extension request**, and the additional time required.

* After evaluation, we’ll confirm the extension request and provide a screenshot or message you’ll need for Atlassian.

2. **Create a Ticket with Atlassian:**

* Go to the [Atlassian Support](https://support.atlassian.com/) portal, and click **Contact us**.

* Under the drop-down, select **Billing, payments, and pricing**.

<figure><img src="https://4106311246-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MR6Z9V8zLATPQPOGSDf%2Fuploads%2FrKNSJZiNbZskYEYNUyBt%2FOpening%20a%20ticket%20with%20Atlassian.png?alt=media&amp;token=673db6ad-dd63-484c-adfb-c92542547eae" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* You'll be redirected to a separate page to submit your ticket. Once there, select **Product Trials**, then choose **Extend product trials**.

<figure><img src="https://4106311246-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MR6Z9V8zLATPQPOGSDf%2Fuploads%2F9tZytXwAJkTi8wbkXI5q%2FGo%20to%20product%20trials%20to%20extend%20your%20license.png?alt=media&amp;token=88d529e3-424b-4d94-a00f-a430834f476d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Specify that you are requesting an extension for a **third-party app** (Getint), and attach the screenshot from Getint Support confirming the approval request.

3. **Wait for Atlassian's Approval:**

* Atlassian will review the request and notify you once the extension is applied.

#### For Jira Server/Data Center Users <a href="#for-jira-server-data-center-users" id="for-jira-server-data-center-users"></a>

If you are using Getint on **Jira Server or Data Center**, you can **generate one or more extended trial licenses** directly from the Atlassian Marketplace.

1. Go to **Manage apps** in Jira Administration.

{% hint style="info" %}
Data Center licenses can usually be extended multiple times (up to 5 total extensions).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.getint.io/getting-started-with-the-platform/starting-the-free-trial-and-accessing-the-getint-app/how-do-i-extend-the-trial-of-getint.io.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
