1. Launching Getint within Jira
Navigate to the "Apps" directory within Jira.
Locate and select "getint.io".
2. Proceeding to Integrations
Access the "Integrations" menu.
Choose "Create Integration".
Select the "Continuous sync" option.
Note: The "Continuous sync" functionality facilitates consistent data integration, representing Getint's standard operation mode. Users seeking to transfer pre-existing data rather than standard synchronization can explore the "Migration" functionality, available as a premium feature with pricing determined by data volume. 3. Application Connectivity
Verify active administrative access.
Click on "Select App" and pick "Jira".
Opt for the "Create New" option to establish a new connection with your Jira environment.
Designate an identifiable name for this connection.
Input the exact URL for your Jira instance, ensuring the absence of a trailing "/".
Provide administrative user credentials.
If utilizing Jira Server or Jira Data Center, input the relevant password. Jira Cloud users will require a distinct Jira Token, detailed in the subsequent section.
4. Token Configuration for Jira Cloud Users
This token serves as an authentication method for Jira Cloud.
Navigate to Atlassian Account settings.
Access the API Token section and initiate token generation.
5. Selection of Jira Project
Upon successful connection establishment, a dropdown menu will surface, allowing for the specific selection of the Jira project for integration.
5. Connect to Airtable
If no prior connections exist, initiate a new one.
The system will prompt for the input of the API Token. This token can be located within your Airtable account overview. Look for the API section and use the "Generate API key" function.
Once connected, define the target Airtable Space and relevant Table.
6. Type mapping
Align Jira categories, namely Task, Bug, Epic, and Story, to correspond with Airtable's "Task" category.
7. Field mapping
Designate specific fields for synchronization. The current Jira-Airtable integration version supports "Title" and "Description" fields.
