Name your connection whatever you like.
Add URL of your Jira instance (without "/" in the end).
Add Login of the admin user, you need to be logged in as one.
Type your password, if it's Jira Server. If it's Jira Cloud, you need to generate Jira Token - go to the step 2.

Go to Atlassian Account Settings, then to API Token, and generate one.

If the connection is established correctly, you should be able to select the Jira project. Choose one from the dropdown menu, as shown below.

If you don't have any connection established before, create new one.

Go to the Asana developer console, to generate a Token, that needs to be used as a password https://app.asana.com/0/developer-console

Map Jira types that you want to sync: f.e. issue to the task, the bug to the task, and so on.

Within the types, you can specify what fields you want to integrate/sync. Title, description, assignees, custom fields, and so on.

If needed, enable attachments, and comments integration/sync.

Enable statuses mapping, and then map them as you wish. Specify the Asana field, that will keep the status data from Jira, prepare the fields in Asana, to mirror your Jira setup.
F.e. To do - to do, Done - Done, and so on.
